I think museum is my all time favorite so far and we only did one of the buildings. Alfred's work was incredible. My favorites are his photographs. Thats actually the work I want to do, I want to take photographs of nature and landscape. His drawings and architectural sculptures are amazing, I love how they look exactly like a home. Those homes are beautiful and large. He uses many different mediums for his art work. I think thats a piece of what WARP is all about. You guys want us to explore the many Mediums/Materials. It's amazing when you see it after the different ways you created it and thats what Alfred did. He inspired me so much and even gave me ideas for this topic.
Alfred's work is very architectural and he surrounds himself with nature. His work was described as a horizontal organic architecture. In the 1950's he did a lot of practice and experimentation in Miami. Each of the houses he did began to conceive as an artistic enterprise. He did photographs drawings paintings and sculptures. With all that he gained architectural techniques.
After he graduated he observed carefully the patterns of the landscape and the buildings and found new and unique approaches for architecture. Alfred was well known for the movement of regional architectural fashion of Florida or the " Green " movement. He has an aesthetic interest in nature and the power it has of emotion, feelings and your senses. He became a National Icon. He was also a teacher and an author which is pretty interesting how he did all that.
