Prose/Poetry small work

My Walk Out was Interesting

My walk out was interesting
The sun was shinning
The palm trees were dancing
in a row
The day was bright
The sky was light
It was blue one day and grey the next
And yet it always stayed blank
No white cotton balls anywhere in sight
It was beautiful and delightful
But there was a touch of eerie
The wind was blowing
so roughly that my body would be pushed
It was a cool breeze forcing me to walk down
This pathway
This pavement
And the lark sparrows
were whistling
The many different cars were loud
But yet it was all so peaceful
you see blue and white twin engine piston planes up above
soaring the sky so gently.
So much movement here and there
from one direction to the other
And yet no one was there

My walk out was interesting

History of Miami Museum

I think museum is my all time favorite so far and we only did one of the buildings. Alfred's work was incredible. My favorites are his photographs. Thats actually the work I want to do, I want to take photographs of nature and landscape. His drawings and architectural sculptures are amazing, I love how they look exactly like a home. Those homes are beautiful and large. He uses many different mediums for his art work. I think thats a piece of what WARP is all about. You guys want us to explore the many Mediums/Materials. It's amazing when you see it after the different ways you created it and thats what Alfred did. He inspired me so much and even gave me ideas for this topic.

Alfred's work is very architectural and he surrounds himself with nature. His work was described as a horizontal organic architecture. In the 1950's he did a lot of practice and experimentation in Miami. Each of the houses he did began to conceive as an artistic enterprise. He did photographs drawings paintings and sculptures. With all that he gained architectural techniques.

After he graduated he observed carefully the patterns of the landscape and the buildings and found new and unique approaches for architecture. Alfred was well known for the movement of regional architectural fashion of Florida or the " Green " movement. He has an aesthetic interest in nature and the power it has of emotion, feelings and your senses. He became a National Icon. He was also a teacher and an author which is pretty interesting how he did all that.

This Outside Visit was inspiring and amazing. I loved everything in it. There was so many designs, patterns, ornaments and antiques. It was amazing how Tony Garner did the city plan, he had such a vivid idea. It was so specific and detailed. It is so inspiring how he produced about several hundred plans. This section fits perfectly into this Landscape topic because of the floor plans he made and the drawings he made of the industrialization.
When you really look at his art work you can see the very specific details. I like how his floor plans and drawings are imaginary and ideal. Even though all his drawings it looks like a real place, its beautiful. I also love how he actually made a city plan and how he put a magnifying glass so you can actually pay attention to it. I loved this museum it was fascinating.

In the 20th century there was a lot of economical problems. There were diseases and environmental degradation which inspired artists to help change the world and Tony was one of them. His architectural plannings were inspired by science fiction, classical ruins and the principles of design. He produced so many plans to make France at that time a better place. He even rejected the chance to study ancient monuments to continue to develop the Cite Industrielle.

Research of Images

1.  Buckminster Fuller started working in 1926 with his father-in-law and he had many ideas. This is a well crafted geodesic dome.

The Montreal Biosphère by Buckminster Fuller, 1967

2. Ha-has are found in country houses and estates.

The Washington Monument is protected by a low ha-ha wall
I have been to this monument many times because my uncle lived in Maryland so I thought this was pretty interesting.

3.  La tartaruga, la donna e la balena in Italy, 1560

one of the reasons I love this piece so much is because my favorite animal is a turtle and I love the patterns.

4. Roman Forum's function was to have a place for the people and to commemorate the City's great men. They held elections, public speeches, trials, gladiator matches, which is pretty cool and commercial affairs. It is amazing how they have statues and monuments who commemorate the city's great men. This place is the perfect size for its function.

The Forum Romanum

5. Boboli Gardens Amphitheatre, Palazzo Pitti in Tuscany, Florence; 16th century

6.  The Pantheon, Paris, Luxembourg Palace, 1865

This is so beautiful and graceful

7.  The Villa and gardens in 1560–1575

This floor plan to me is very detailed and I loved that about it, I can clearly see everything.

8.  Fountain of the Four Rivers, 1651

9. Jean Dubuffet's Jardin d'Emaille,1974 in the Netherlands

I love how it doesn't look so big but if you pay attention to it closely you can see its huge and life size.

10. Stowe Garden, 16th century, England

11. Stourhead Garden, England, 1725

This picture actually reminds me of a painting, its beautiful.

12. Washington DC parks: This is the The Korean War Veterans Memorial at the National mall and memorial parks of Washington DC. These monuments were dedicated to these men; The founding fathers, civil rights leaders and fallen soldiers.

This piece is very emotional and sentimental not only to me but, to many people. I happen to be one of the lucky families, my uncle is safe and a retired veteran of course not of that time.

13. The Vizcaya Museum. It was built in 1914 and 1922. It was know as the Villa Vizcaya because of James Deering. Due to environmental and hurricane damage Miami decided on restoring it. I actually took my 15's pictures here.

14. Fairchild Tropical Garden at Metropolitan Miami in 1936. This was named after David Fairchild Montgomery's friend. The garden was established by Robert H. Montgomery who loved anything that had to do with plants and gardening. Montgomery had a dream of creating a botanical garden in Miami and thats why he made it in Miami.

I love the natural essence it has and the colors really pop out to me.

Street Small Work

I chose to go and walk behind the Tamiami Airport (120 St.). I thought it was a very interesting place and not only because of the planes but it was quite and peaceful looked abandoned but yet there was a lot of movement with vehicles. These are a few photos to show what the place looked like and my process and final product.
